I never thought this day would come, that I'd be shopping for a vacuum cleaner, I guess its part of getting married, shopping for household electronics. Today in particular we were eyeing for a Vacuum Cleaner, which in my opinion every household must haves, especially when you don't have a maid around to help you clean, a vacuum cleaner can be a girls best friend. N'way me and my hubby went to Courts to purchase a vacuum cleaner but low and behold there where a lot to choose from and being me, who seldom does research i was overwhelmed with all the vacuum cleaners available, I never expected that choosing a vacuum cleaner would be so complicated.
Let me give you guys a crash course on different kinds of vacuum cleaners. There are 4 types;
1. Canister vacuum cleaner - this is the more popular ones you see now a days. but this one is either comes with a bagged or bag-less, depends which one you prefer.
- Bag-less Advantages: you don't need to keep on buying bags, but can be messy to remove, empty and re attach the dirt canister.
- Bagged Advantages: basically the opposite of bag-less.
2. Stick or broom vacuum cleaner - we usually see this in infomercials, this are light but has less suction
3. Upright Vacuum cleaner - similar to the stick or broom vacuum cleaner in appearance, but has more suction power and heavier too.
4. Handheld vacuum cleaner - also popular in infomercials, only good for small jobs, the cheapest among all the vacuum cleaners
So after giving you the types of vacuum cleaners available, you can already see me and my hubby scratching our heads, needless to say all the different brands to choose from. N'way to make my long story short, we opted to get the typical canister bag-less type, one being more practical cause we don't want to keep on buying bags which doesn't come cheap and some more it was on promotion =). Tom I'll be trying my new vacuum cleaner hopefully it doesn't disappoint me... next on our shopping list a 32 or 40 inch TV for our bedroom, this time I'll do my research on which brands are nice and is worth buying... till the next time
Naks housewife na nga ang peg mo! heheh
ReplyDeleteI would go for the first one!! Have you researched ROOMBA? You don't even have to do anything! You can leave the house and the roomba will clean for you.
yup I actually saw Roomba, but it was too expensive, it was about 2,800++ almost 3K if my memory serves me right, it's actually quite cool cause it cleans on its own, but it was way way over our budget =), oh well maybe next time when I'm earning big bucks =)
